The temporary Assistant Producer works closely with the Producers to help create the weekly culture program The Dinner Party Download. His/her primary responsibility is cutting and crafting audio: (s)he will edit "soundtracks" (musical recommendations from contemporary artists), score excerpts of novels, and potentially cut interviews, promos and other materials. Other aspects of production may filter into the job including: booking interviews; planning future coverage; initiating story and new segment ideas; writing segment copy; and generally maintaining the show's production flow.
