Raul Ramirez was a friend and supporter of this Institute from its earliest days. In the late 1970s, Raul served as an editor and teacher in the then Institute for Journalism Education's summer-long reporting program. In recent years he he spoke on ethics for the Maynard Institute's Voices program for correspondents from local communities and hosted the group in a visit to KQED. He helped whenever he was called.
