New Workers’ Compensation Law Favors Employers

A new workers’ compensation law goes into effect July 1, and it aims to significantly change the ability of employees to qualify for and receive workers’ compensation benefits. My recent change in positions is the reason I feel comfortable writing this blog about a subject that used to be a very important part of my law practice.

In my former position, I represented employers in workers’ compensation cases. I spent a lot of time at the state Workers’ Compensation Commission off Lakeland Drive and investigated a lot of on-the-job injuries.
