The general assignment reporter will cover daily, general news in the Twin Cities primarily for MPRNews.org and MPR News radio newscasts. The reporter will have strong, fast writing and reporting skills along with an innate digital sensibility – understanding how mobile, social and visual tools can be used in news reporting and audience engagement. Daily assignments will cover a broad range of topics. The reporter at times will work collaboratively with the radio reporters. The reporter also may be asked to follow a certain topic if necessary.
